As one of the caring Islamic institutions, TH pays its annual zakat to all 14 State Zakat Centers in the first quarter of the year. TH also made zakat payment directly to asnaf group nationwide through its CSR programmes such as Baiti, Ehsan, Iqra, Alfiat, Mobility and Ikhtiar.
The Baiti project, formerly known as “Bumbung project”, was introduced in 2012. Through this project, we helped build and repair houses or mosques for the underprivileged community. The project aims to reduce the burden of the poor and provide them with safer house to improve their standard of living.
This is an annual project to provide financial assistance to needy recipients such as the elderly, single parents and people with disabilities, during the month of Ramadan. This project is aimed at easing the financial burden of these groups in preparation for Syawal.
Iqra is a human capital development project that was launched in 2012 to support underprivileged students in their pursuit of a viable education. The Iqra project helps the identified students in 14 states via the provision of school items and pocket money before the school term starts every year.
It is hoped that the contribution provides support and motivation to the students to continue learning and pursue academic excellence for a better future.
In 2013, Alfiat Program was introduced to lighten the burdens of financially challenged asnafs that either faces critical health challenges and/ or that are in need of medical support aids, prosthetics, as well as visual and hearing aid and such.

In 2016, TH launched the TH Mobility programme, its latest CSR programme. Through this programme, TH distributed to selected mosques nationwide, dual-function vehicles which may be utilised as passenger vans or hearse.
The Mobility programme was introduced to help needing mosques, especially those located in poor and isolated areas, to carry out their duties related to fardhu kifayah for the benefit and convenience of residents in those localities. These vehicles may be used as hearse to transport the deceased for burial as well as transportation for members of the kariah to conduct various religious related activities such as to cater for fardhu ain classes and so forth.
Ikhtiar Programme which was introduced in 2015 aims at providing business capital using zakat funds to the asnaf community. The capital injection is to be used for business start-ups or improving their existing businesses based on skills set. Among the objectives of this programme is to increase their source of additional income which empowers them to improve their quality of lives and current socio economic state.
