PUTRAJAYA, 14 February 2026 – Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) has allocated RM1.4 million in wakalah zakat to 14 Islamic educational institutions nationwide under the MADANI Adopted School Programme. Each institution received RM100,000, directly benefiting 700 students through facility upgrades, financial aid for asnaf students including fee assistance, as well as academic support initiatives and teacher development programmes.

The initiative underscores TH’s continued commitment to ensuring zakat is managed and distributed effectively and strategically, guided by the principles of Maqasid Syariah. Through this effort, TH aims to strengthen Islamic education and cultivate holistic, knowledgeable and morally grounded individuals who can contribute meaningfully to the progress of the ummah and the nation.

The zakat wakalah contribution ceremony was held in conjunction with the National-Level Ihya’ Ramadan 1447H Programme at Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, Putrajaya, officiated by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Dr. Zulkifli Hasan.
