KUALA LUMPUR, 10 JUNE 2025 - Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH), the nation’s comprehensive hajj management institution, has put Malaysia on the global map once again for its outstanding performance. The Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah recently presented the prestigious Diamond Award to TH at the 2025 Labaytum Awards in recognition of its excellence in the management of Hajj pilgrims for the 1446H/2025M Hajj season.
Speaking about the award, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), YB Senator Dato’ Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Na'im Mokhtar, said, “We are very proud to continue positioning Malaysia as a benchmark for excellence in Hajj management on the global stage. Congratulations to the dedicated team at TH for yet another successful Hajj season. This award strengthens Malaysia's reputation as one of the best in the world in terms of managing Hajj pilgrims.”

The Labaytum Award is an annual recognition presented by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to Hajj management delegations worldwide that demonstrate outstanding performance in Hajj operations.
Following a successful Hajj season (1446H/2025M), TH clinched the Diamond Award for the first time, the highest-ranking recognition at the Labaytum Awards. Historically, TH won the Labaytum awards consecutively over the past two years. In 2023, TH received two awards in the Best Service Category for Hajj Affairs Office and Best Hajj Guide Service and Programme. In 2024, TH received the Labaytum Award in the Best Service Category for Hajj Affairs Office.
The Diamond Award is the highest and most exclusive recognition in the Labaytum Awards, placed above the standard categories. For the year 2025, TH achieved the pinnacle of the Labaytum recognition by bringing home the Diamond Award.
TH was found deserving of the Diamond Award as it demonstrated superior service quality in terms of operations, technology, health, logistics, worship guidance, and high pilgrim satisfaction levels of over 95 percent.
Emphasising the driving force behind TH’s achievement, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Haji Mustakim Mohamad, explained, “TH works tirelessly to ensure the welfare, comfort and safety of Malaysian hajj pilgrims is always a priority. Entrusted by the nation to manage the Hajj affairs of Malaysian pilgrims, we are rooted in our commitment to constantly enhance the quality of services to ensure Malaysian pilgrims can fulfill the fifth pillar of Islam well and return with a successful Hajj. We do this by working closely with the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah as well as all agencies involved in Hajj affairs for the comfort, welfare and safety of pilgrims”.
The Labaytum Awards were presented during the Hajj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition in Mecca.
