How are prospective pilgrims selected for the 1447H / 2026M season? |
- The selection method remains unchanged based on the registration date and time (first-come-first-served basis).
- Hajj offer letters are issued to eligible pilgrims who have at least RM15,000 in their TH account.

What is Malaysia’s Hajj quota? |
- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has approved a quota of 31,600 pilgrims for Malaysia for 1447H / 2026M.

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Conference held in 1988 in Amman, Jordan, established that each member country’s Hajj quota shall be equivalent to 0.1% of its total Muslim population.

How and when can pilgrims check their Hajj offer letters? |
- Offer letters can be viewed and downloaded via the THiJARI platform.
- The Hajj offer letters for 31,600 prospective pilgrims for the 1447H / 2026M season will begin to be issued on 24 October 2025.
- Prospective pilgrims are required to undergo and pass a health examination and complete their Hajj payment before confirming their acceptance of the Hajj offer through the THiJARI platform.
- For those who have not received an offer letter as their turn has not yet arrived, TH will open the appeal process beginning 3 November 2025, also via the THiJARI platform.
- TH considers several criteria in evaluating appeals received, including:
- Hajj registration date
- Age
- Average savings balance with TH
- Frequency of previous appeals

Do out-of-turn appeal pilgrims have to pay the full Hajj cost? |
- Prospective pilgrims who are selected through the appeal process are required to pay the full Hajj cost of RM33,300, except for those submitting appeals under the following categories:
- Mahram (guardian) accompanying a selected pilgrim
- Companions of senior pilgrims aged 75 years and above
- Companions of persons with disabilities (PWD) who are selected pilgrims

How much is the total Hajj Financial Assistance? |
- To ease the financial burden of eligible pilgrims, TH is expected to allocate RM210 million in Hajj Financial Assistance for the upcoming pilgrimage season. This brings the total cumulative amount of assistance provided to over RM2.72 billion within 25 years since its introduction in 2001.
- This substantial assistance has had a direct impact on TH’s financial sustainability and the returns distributed to depositors.
- Eligible B40 pilgrims who are recipients of the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) or other government financial aid for the B40 group will receive Hajj Financial Assistance amounting to RM18,300 per person (including RM1,000 from the Government of Malaysia), representing 55% of the total Hajj cost.
- M40 pilgrims will receive Hajj Financial Assistance of RM9,800 per person, equivalent to 29% of the total Hajj cost.

Can non-recipient pilgrims appeal to receive Hajj Financial Assistance? |
- Since 2022, TH has implemented a targeted Hajj Financial Assistance scheme based on specific eligibility criteria.
- The Hajj payment rates determined are final and non-negotiable.

Can pilgrims choose to pay more than the set Hajj rate? |
- Prospective pilgrims who wish to contribute more than the prescribed Hajj payment rate may opt to pay up to the full Hajj cost of RM33,300 through the THiJARI platform when confirming their acceptance of the Hajj offer.
- There are seven (7) payment amount options available for the B40 and M40 groups as follows:

Will TH continue to enhance its services for pilgrims even though the Hajj payment rate remains unchanged? |
- The maintenance of the Hajj cost and payment rate reflects TH’s strong commitment to curbing annual cost increases despite the continuously rising expenses, particularly in the Holy Land.
- TH will continue to strive for service excellence to ensure the well-being, safety, comfort, and interests of all pilgrims are consistently protected and upheld.

What is the payment rate for Hajj offer recipients who are still studying or dependents under parental or guardian care? |
- Hajj offer recipients who are students of schools or higher education institutions aged 21 years and below and still under the care of their parents or guardians will be charged the B40 rate of RM15,000.
- However, if there is any discrepancy in the payment category stated in the offer letter received, they may submit a correction request to TH for review of the Hajj Payment Category through the nearest TH branch.
- The request must be accompanied by supporting documents such as student verification records from the respective school or higher education institution, and other relevant information.
- TH will conduct a comprehensive review with sufficient supporting evidence for any appeal related to the change of Hajj Payment Category.
- Appeals must be submitted before the pilgrim departs for the Holy Land.

What should pilgrims do if there is a difference in Hajj payment rates between mahram spouses or companions? |
- In cases where there is a difference in Hajj payment rates between spouses who both receive offers for the same Hajj season, or for those who are approved as companions through appeal, they may also submit a discrepancy report to TH for review of the Hajj Payment Category through the nearest TH branch.
- The appeal must include complete supporting documents, such as proof of government financial aid for the B40 group, marital status verification, and other relevant details.
- TH will carry out a thorough assessment with adequate evidence for any appeal regarding the adjustment of the Hajj Payment Category.
- All appeals must be made before the pilgrims’ departure to the Holy Land.
