KEM PERDANA SUNGAI BESI, NOVEMBER 4, 2022 - Tabung Haji (TH) today handed over a donation of RM90 thousand through the submission of a Mock Check for the maintenance of the Tuition Center under the Army Camp Education Service Center at the Award Ceremony for the central zone (Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Selangor) which was presented by Tuan Haji Khairul Azihar bin Rapar, State Director of the Central Region (TH) at Dewan Zulkifeli Zin, Kem Perdana Sg Besi and was received by Yang Berbahagia Jeneral Tan Sri Dato' Seri Zamrose bin Mohd Zain. This award ceremony is also held at the Formations and Bases throughout Malaysia, divided according to several zones.

This award ceremony aims to give recognition and encouragement to the children of military personnel who successfully achieved excellent results in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination and children who have successfully continued their studies at the local Institutes of Higher Education (IPTA). Yayasan Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (YLTAT) has made contributions to approximately 164 children of ATM personnel who achieved excellent results in SPM 2021 and they will receive an incentive of RM1,500 per person on a one-off basis.

Meanwhile, a total of 64 children of ATM personnel who are continuing  their studies in IPTA at the Bachelor's Degree level will receive a one-off incentive of RM1,000 per person. In providing better encouragement, 150 children from ATM who are successfully continuing their studies at the Bachelor's Degree level in IPTAs in the 2021/2022 academic session will receive free laptops. Tabung Haji took the opportunity by donating RM220,900 to help with the educational needs of the children of military personnel in selected camps with the amount of Educational Assistance for Military Children divided into (2) parts which are for 4 Educational Community Centers (PKP ) for military children and 2 more donations channeled to the Angkatan Tentera Malaysia’s Children's Day Care/Nursery.
