Lembaga Tabung Haji (TH) today organised the Prime Hajj Course Completion Ceremony for the Selangor State 1440H / 2019M. The ceremony was graced with the presence of Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj at the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque, Shah Alam.

The course was held for two (2) days from Saturday, June 22 2019, until Sunday, June 23 2019. It involved more than 6,000 pilgrims from the entire State of Selangor.

At the same event, YBhg. Dato’ Sri Zukri Samat, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of TH also presented Business Zakat for the State of Selangor for 2018 amounting to RM24,721,844.00 to Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan Selangor. The amount was an increase of 26.3 per cent compared to RM19,579,972.09 (2017). The state of Selangor is the highest recipient of Zakat from TH in comparison to other states in Malaysia.

The two-day Prime Hajj Course is the final course organised by TH as a review platform to complement other earlier Hajj courses conducted by TH. It provides the platform for TH to provide updates to the pilgrims before they travel to the Holy Land. This course is guided by certified Pengkursus Ibadat Haji Tanah Air (PEKTA) and assisted by the welfare and medical officers from TH.
