FAQ : Early Preparations for Prospective Hajj Pilgrims Before Receiving the Hajj Offer

1. What is the purpose of the early Hajj reminder notification?
The early reminder aims to give prospective pilgrims sufficient time to prepare ahead, especially regarding their health, financial readiness, and other personal arrangements, before the official offer is issued.

2. Does this notification indicate that a Hajj offer has been given?
No. This notification is solely an early reminder for pilgrims in the 1447H/2026M queue to prepare and does not represent an official Hajj offer.

3. How will prospective pilgrims be notified of this early reminder?
The early reminder will be sent to prospective pilgrims for the 1447H/2026M Hajj year through SMS, email, and notifications on the THiJARI platform.

4. Do prospective pilgrims need to confirm receipt of this early reminder?
No confirmation is needed. Confirmation will only be required when Tabung Haji issues the official Hajj offer to eligible pilgrims.

5. Does this early reminder give any advantage to a specific group?
No, this early reminder is meant to assist all prospective pilgrims in preparing early to meet health and financial requirements, regardless of their background. The official Hajj offer, however, depends on quota availability, eligibility criteria, and policies set by Tabung Haji.

6. What actions should be taken after receiving this early reminder?
Prospective pilgrims are encouraged to assess their health, increase their Tabung Haji savings, especially if their balance is below the RM15,000 minimum based on the B40 Hajj payment rate for the 1446H/2026M season, and stay updated through Tabung Haji’s official channels.

7. If I receive an early reminder, does it guarantee I will get an official offer?
No. The official offer depends on quota availability, meeting eligibility criteria, and the current policies set by Tabung Haji.

8. Can I reject the early reminder notification?
No action is needed to reject the early reminder, as it is only a notification. The option to accept or decline will be provided with the official Hajj offer.

9. Will those who receive the early reminder be given priority?
Priority is determined by the queuing system and criteria set by Tabung Haji. The early reminder does not affect the official selection process.

10. Where can I get more information about the early reminder or Hajj offer?
All related information can be accessed via the THiJARI app, Tabung Haji's official website (www.tabunghaji.gov.my), TH’s official social media platforms, or by contacting the Tabung Haji Call Centre at 03-6207 1919.

11. Will prospective pilgrims also receive free health screenings like during the Hajj offer stage?
Before the official Hajj offer is issued, prospective pilgrims are encouraged to perform a self-health assessment to prepare in advance.

12. If prospective pilgrims are unable to meet the minimum Hajj deposit, will the official offer not be made?
Priority for receiving the official Hajj offer will be given to pilgrims who have deposited RM15,000 in their TH account no later than the beginning of the fourth quarter of 2025.

13. How can prospective pilgrims learn about Hajj if the Basic Hajj Course has not started?
Prospective pilgrims can attend the Basic Hajj Course online via Tabung Haji’s official YouTube platform.

14. What is the recommended savings amount to prepare for Hajj?
Prospective pilgrims are advised to have a minimum savings of at least RM15,000 as an initial preparation for Hajj payment. This is based on the Hajj fee for recipients of the B40 Financial Assistance in the 1446H season.

However, the actual fee is subject to the rate finalised for the current Hajj season. Therefore, saving regularly and systematically will help ease the financial burden once an offer is received.

16. Does Tabung Haji provide health guides or early preparation checklists?
Tabung Haji encourages prospective pilgrims to begin monitoring their health by conducting early self-checks at any health facility.Key areas to monitor include body weight (BMI), blood pressure, diabetes, and basic fitness level. Individuals with chronic illnesses such as kidney, lung, liver, heart, and nerve disorders, cancer, infectious diseases, and mental illnesses are not permitted to perform Hajj.

(Note: This question helps emphasise the importance of istito’ah (capability) from a health perspective as part of early preparation, even if not part of the official process with TH.)

17. When should prospective pilgrims complete their savings to RM15,000?
Prospective pilgrims are advised to save consistently and reach a minimum balance of RM15,000 to be eligible for the Hajj offer, which is expected to be issued in the early part of the fourth quarter of 2025.
