What is the selection process for Prospective Pilgrims (BH) for the 1446H/2025M Hajj season?

The selection process for prospective pilgrims this year remains the same as in previous years, which is based on the date and time of Hajj registration, with priority given to those who registered earlier.
2. What is Malaysia’s Hajj quota?
  • The Saudi Arabian government has approved a total Hajj quota of 31,600 for Malaysian pilgrims for 1446H/2025M.

  • The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) conference in 1988 held in Amman, Jordan, determined that the Hajj quota for a country is 0.1% of its Muslim population.
3. What is the cost of performing Hajj this season?

The cost of Hajj remains the same as the previous season, which is RM33,300 per person.
4. What are the Hajj payment rates for this year?
  • TH continues to provide targeted Financial Assistance for Hajj to prospective Muassasah pilgrims in the B40 and M40 categories who are performing Hajj for the first time.

  • The cost of Hajj remains at RM33,300 per person.

  • TH has consistently strived to enhance the quality of its services.

  • Priority is given to the safety, comfort, and welfare of Hajj pilgrims.

  • For example, Hajj offers are now provided through the digital platform THijari.

  • Guidance programs are also conducted via digital platforms, including Q&A sessions on rituals during the pilgrimage.

  • Among the new services introduced are the digitalization of health check-up processes and passport registration for visa issuance.
6. Can prospective pilgrims not offered financial assistance appeal to TH for aid?

The payment rates are final.
7. Do prospective pilgrims appealing outside their scheduled turn need to pay the full Hajj cost? Prospective pilgrims must pay the full Hajj cost of RM33,300, except for those making appeals under the following categories:

  1. Mahram for selected prospective pilgrims.

  2. Companions for elderly pilgrims aged 75 and above who have been selected.

  3. Companions for differently-abled pilgrims who have been selected.

  4. Pilgrims with earlier-than-scheduled turns.

Note: Payments for spouses/companions are subject to the rates applicable for the 1446H/2025M Hajj season.
8. How much financial assistance is provided for Hajj?
  • The Hajj Financial Assistance for this season is estimated at RM261 million, bringing the total over 25 years to more than RM2.8 billion. This substantial financial aid has directly impacted TH's financial sustainability and returns for depositors.

  • B40 group: Recipients of Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) or other government aid for the B40 category will receive RM17,300 per person, covering over half (52%) of the total Hajj cost.

  • M40 group: Financial Assistance of RM9,800 per person, covering 29% of the total Hajj cost.
9. When will the Hajj offer letters be issued?
  • Hajj offer letters for the 31,600 prospective pilgrims for 1446H/2025M will be issued starting 16 December 2024.

  • Prospective pilgrims must complete a health check-up, receive approval, and settle the Hajj payment before confirming their acceptance to perform Hajj via THiJARI.
