Hajj Registration
Concept
Since 1995, Tabung Haji (TH) has implemented a “First-Come, First-Served” concept for Hajj registration. Depositors who register for Hajj are assigned a year in which they can perform the pilgrimage, based on the date and time of their registration. All TH depositors who have registered for Hajj are eligible to perform the pilgrimage when their assigned turn arrives.
Terms
To qualify for Hajj registration, depositors must meet the following requirements:
- Maintain a minimum balance of RM1,300.00 in their TH accounts.
- Have never performed Hajj before.
- Provide identification documents (MyKad) and birth certificates for those under 12 years old when registering at TH counters.
- A maximum of six individuals per group is allowed.
Hajj Registration Channels
Depositors can register for Hajj through the following channels:

Postponement and Cancellation of Hajj
Prospective pilgrims who have received an offer to perform the Hajj but intend to defer, i.e., cancel their pilgrimage, may submit their application at the nearest Tabung Haji office. However, a cancellation/postponement fee will be imposed according to the prescribed rates.
Nevertheless, for those who choose to defer, the opportunity to perform the Hajj in the following year is subject to availability, and there is no guarantee that the offer will be extended again.
The penalty rates imposed on prospective pilgrims who cancel or defer their pilgrimage are categorized as follows:
- Category I
A cancellation fee of RM500 will be debited from the depositor’s TH account if the Hajj is cancelled after the offer has been accepted.
- Category II
A cancellation fee of RM2,500 will be debited from the depositor’s TH account if the Hajj is cancelled after the Hajj flight schedule has been issued.
- Category III
A cancellation fee of RM7,500 will be debited from the depositor’s TH account if the Hajj is cancelled after the Hajj visa has been allocated.
