PEKTA & PIHTAS
Roles & Responsibilities of Homeland Hajj Trainers (PEKTA) / Holy Land Hajj Facilitators (PIHTAS)
To assist and ensure that the hajj pilgrims are provided with knowledge on laws (hukum) through local courses and programs and subsequently increasing their confidence in further appreciating and performing hajj in the Holy Land; towards a Hajj Mabrur.
Terms of application
PEKTA Terms of Application:
- Have previously performed hajj.
- Age not exceeding 50 years.
- Owns a valid teaching certificate which is still in force from the State Islamic Religious Council / Department.
- Have a background in Islamic Studies with at least a STAM or equivalent.
- An individual of good character and does not smoke.
- Applications can only be made online (e-Bimbingan Haj via e-learning-th-pekta.netlify.app)
PIHTAS Terms of Application:
- Applicant is a PEKTA that owns a valid KATAM.
- Is a Sijil Pembimbing Ibadat Haji (SPIH) holder.
- Regularly conducts hajj courses at state and district level at least 3 years after certified as a PEKTA.
- Has not been appointed as a PIHTAS within 3 consecutive years.
- Healthy body and age not exceeding 60 years of age.
- Willing to give priority and commitment to TH if appointed as PIHTAS and not involved in bringing the Pilgrims of the PJH/THTS company.
- Is willing to be on duty for more than 60 days.
- Self-manage the employer's release.
- An individual of good character and does not smoke.
