Contributions
Every year, TH spends a huge amount of budget for the implementation of non-zakat CSR initiatives with the objective to share our achievements with stakeholders through various programmes and contributions. Contributions are channeled to various areas such as education, health, sports, etc.
Hajj Subsidy
The biggest and most significant investment in CSR is the provision of Hajj subsidies to first time Muassasah pilgrims every year. This subsidy has helped to maintain the pilgrims’ hajj payment at RM9,980 even though the actual hajj cost keeps on increasing every year.
Since 2001, TH has contributed this subsidy as an act of charity to Malaysian pilgrims. The subsidy covers hajj pilgrimage operating costs in Malaysia and the Holy Land. Besides that, TH also allocates a substantial budget for hajj support operations, which include hajj guidance, medical and financial services as well as hajj personnel.
Senior Citizens’ Fund (TWT Fund)
TH continues with our senior citizens’ fund called "TWT Fund" that was established in 2000. This fund is intended to finance part of the total payment for senior pilgrims who meet all application requirements and are selected for hajj pilgrimage but facing financial difficulties to pay for their hajj.
The TWT fund’s main source of funding is through donations from TH and other individuals.
Kelab TaHa
The Kelab TaHa was established in April 2008 to attract those aged 7 to 17 years to start saving from their early age. This will put them on the right footing for more fruitful future financial planning and could possibly enable them a chance to perform the pilgrimage at a young age. In addition, Kelab TaHa members also benefit from a variety of academic programmes and activities throughout the year. Among the activities are Examination Seminars, English Camps and Motivational Camps.
These camps served to inculcate good values and educational knowledge to help improve their academic excellence. Also, English Camps were held to help improve mastery of the English Language for TaHa members.
The Examination Seminars sponsored and fully funded by TH in our mission to uplift the students’ academic performance. In addition to academic excellence, these activities provided character-building modules to help build a future pool of commendable talent within the community.

Kelab TaHa@U
TaHa@U is another initiative established in May 2010 to motivate and encourage students in local institutions of higher learning to undertake hajj pilgrimage at a young age.
TH worked in collaboration with the various parties to promote TaHa@U through activities such as TaHa Jamboree@U, Career Guidance Carnival, sporting tournaments and community service programmes.
The Jamboree TaHa@U programme helped expose students to various activities which can develop their characters through spiritual, physical and intellectual means. This was followed by a Career Guidance Carnival which provided exposure to future employment opportunities.
Sports activities such as futsal, handball and bowling tournaments created diversity and an opportunity to emphasize the importance of embracing a healthy lifestyle through sports. Apart from that, Community Service Programmes were also organized during the year to help nurture civic mindedness and to create responsible individuals in the future.
The activities ranged from community gotong-royong activities, terawih prayer, cleaning the mosque and graveyard, organising “Happy Hour” for children at the mosque and many other interesting activities. All these activities received positive feedback from students and boosted TaHa@U’s membership.
