SARAWAK, October 14, 2025 – Tabung Haji (TH) has fulfilled the zakat contribution on behalf of its depositors for the year 2024, amounting to RM1,927,359.46, which was presented to the Sarawak Islamic Council (MIS) in a ceremony held at the Hikmah Exchange Event Centre (HEEC), Kuching.

The zakat mock cheque was handed over by YB Senator Dato’ Setia Dr. Hj Mohd Na’im Hj. Mokhtar, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), to YBhg. Datuk Haji Misnu bin Hj Taha, President of the Sarawak Islamic Council, witnessed by YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, Premier of Sarawak.

This zakat contribution reflects not only TH’s responsibility towards its depositors but also its unwavering commitment to ensuring that every entrusted ringgit continues to benefit the Muslim community, particularly in the state of Sarawak.
